TripRevue Privacy Policy

T

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 05/20/2026

This Privacy Policy describes how TripRevue (the “App”), made by Solsma Dev (“we”, “us”, or “our”), handles information when you use the App.

Summary

  • Your photos and photo metadata never leave your device.
  • We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.
  • We use third-party analytics and crash reporting for anonymous, aggregate data. None of it is linked to your identity.
  • A small profile syncs across your Apple devices via Apple’s iCloud. We never receive that data.

1. Data we access

To work, the App needs read access to your photo library so it can map the places in your photos. Photos and any data the App reads from them stay on your device. The App’s working data (places, badges, preferences) is also stored locally on your device.

If you grant notification permission, the App posts local notifications when you photograph somewhere new. These are scheduled on your device and are not sent through a server.

2. iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, a small TripRevue profile (display name, home location, earned badges) syncs across your Apple devices via Apple’s iCloud service. This data is encrypted by Apple and is not accessible to us. You can disable this sync by signing out of iCloud or by disabling iCloud Drive for TripRevue.

3. Analytics and crash reporting

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google services) to understand how the App is used in aggregate and to diagnose crashes. The data sent is anonymous and not linked to your identity: no Apple ID, no email, no name, no advertising identifier. We do not use it to track you across other apps or websites, and we do not share it for advertising.

4. Subscriptions

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple. We never see or store your payment information. The App reads only your subscription status from Apple so it knows whether to unlock Pro features.

5. Children

TripRevue is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Your choices

  • Revoke photo access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → TripRevue.
  • Revoke notifications in iOS Settings → Notifications → TripRevue.
  • Uninstalling the App removes all on-device data. To also remove the iCloud-synced profile, sign out of iCloud or disable iCloud Drive for TripRevue.
  • To opt out of analytics, uninstall the App or contact us.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws (such as CCPA in California or GDPR in the EU/EEA) to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to its processing. Because we do not collect personal information linked to your identity, most requests will result in us confirming we hold no such records. We do not “sell” or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. EU/EEA users may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority. To exercise any right, contact us at the email below.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated Policy at the same URL and update the “Effective date” above.
